Describe your wedding in one line… British Seaside
How did you Save the Date? We found ice cream shaped invites in Tiger and made inserts for the day invites
Where did the inspiration for the wedding come from? When we first got together Chris wouldn’t go in the sea, and since we have been together Chris has overcome his fear of the sea and we now bodyboard, paddle board and tons of other sea-related activities. Our love has grown together with our love of the sea!
Did you stipulate any dress requirements for your guests to do on the invite? We asked the guests to dress “smart seaside”
Did you both and/or your guests get creative for the wedding? We made place settings, bouquets, favours, buttonholes, and brides mum dried petals for weeks to make natural confetti as it is a nature reserve. We also put together all the entertainment.
What did you both wear and why?
Bride: I didnt want to wear white and i wanted to wear my dress again so i bought a blue dress. i chose a tea length as it was going to be warm and i wanted to be comfortable
Groom: I used it an excuse to buy a new suit but as it was July i didn’t wear the jacket as I wanted to be comfy
Memorable moments from the ceremony: Jo sang “For Good” from Wicked and everyone (including the registrar) cried
Any memorable moments from the reception? Our Cupcake swap ended up being a bit of a cake smash
Award for best moment goes to… Saying I do infront of our friends and family. We had 30 guests so it was lovely to see everyone’s faces
What did you have for music and entertainment? We did a playlist and used a ipad and speakers. Making the playlist was good fun. We also bought juggling balls, hook a duck, and fete games for people to use outside
What did you do for Food, favours and drink (if you did favours)?
Food: We had an ice cream reception for day and evening guests. Our sit down meal was at the pub and you had a choice of Fish and Chips, Beef in Red Wine or a Goats Cheese Tart. the food was incredible and massive portions!
Favours: We doubled up and used favours as place names. Everyone got a Starfish to take home. Drink was the pub too.
Would change anything if you could do it all again? NOTHING IT WAS PERFECT
