Jan- March are the quiet months for photographers so what to do…..but create a gorgeous styled bridal shoot at Houghton Lodge in Hampshire with a real in love couple! I really wanted to create something a bit ‘different’ in the hope of inspiring creative couples who want to have a more alternative/boho style to their Wedding Day. I opted for a metallic gold dress for Sarah which looked really glamorous and definitely proves you don’t have to go with the white tradition to look fabulous on your Wedding Day. Dans outfit was all his own and i just loved the paisley scarf and dusky pink waistcoat. Dan and Sarah have a wonderful connection so the sense of fun that I wanted in the images was easy to achieve along with some gorgeous romantic shots.
I knew I wanted quite a big bouquet and flower crown with lots of muted green foliage and pops of vibrant red, I worked with Caroline of Bramble Cottage Flowers in Hampshire to create my vision and oh my goodness the florals were simply oozing glamour. Flowers make a huge difference to your wedding photography, as you can see below…..if you are Hampshire based get in touch with Caroline as she really is super talented at creating your dream wedding flower goals.
I chose Houghton Lodge as the venue for this shoot as it really is a beautiful place and a hidden gem. It has such variety for Wedding Photography, a stunning orangery with beautiful wall murals, glass out houses with lovely green foliage against fresh white brick walls, old majestic doors and not to mention the acres os glorious grounds….oh and it also has a river and gardens full of flowers in the spring/summer….dream venue!
The stylish photo booth was provided by Booths Of London and it’s really unique.
The shoot took place late afternoon during the last couple of hours of sunshine mid february…which also goes to show you don’t need a summer wedding to get gorgeous light filled images…so long as you can brave the cold for 10 mins.
I hope you enjoy looking through the images, and thank you to all involved in creating this, it was so much fun!
