Tell us about Bassmead Manor Barns venue: Bassmead Manor Barns has been owned by the Squire Family since 1845 and is a large moated farmstead containing a Grade II Listed farmhouse and numerous barns. A setting of choice for wedding ceremonies, the wonderful Rickety Barn is 300 years old, and has the capacity for 150 guests underneath its exposed beams and wrought iron chandeliers. Wedding breakfasts take place in the open plan space of the timber-framed Bridge Barn which overlooks the picturesque gardens. The setting provides a delightful contemporary feel and is a warm and welcoming area where guests can be served reception drinks and canapés.
Dove Cottage is an idyllic honeymoon suite and is located at the eastern end of the long barn and boasts a secluded patio area which benefits from views of the moat and morning sunshine.

Can you have a legal ceremony at your venue, if so tell us about the options? You’ll have exclusive use of our rustic and romantic Rickety Barn to get married in. This affectionately named, timber barn is full of character of its own, but can be dressed with pompoms, bunting, or lovely flowers if you wish. The barn has a civil ceremony licence for up to 150 guests, plus the wedding couple, registrars and witnesses.
